Summer 2013-Fall 2013 Sunscreen in Skin of Color, Dr. Rebat Halder and Dr. Ife Rodney, Department of Dermatology at Howard University Hospital
- Coordinated, recruited, screened, and educated subjects to participate in a randomized clinical trial assessing the efficacy and safety of daily sunscreen use in Ethnic Skin (African-American, Hispanic).
- Photographed study participants using VISIA-CR Camera System, accompanied dermatologists during facial assessments of study subjects, and collected data assessing skin tone using Konica Minolta chromameter.
Spring 2013 Ethnic Dermatology Research, Dr. Rebat Halder and Dr. Ife Rodney, Department of Dermatology at Howard University Hospital
- Recruited and screened subjects to participate in a randomized clinical trial assessing the Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic Skincare Brush in Ethnic Skin (African-American, Asian, Hispanic).
- Educated subjects on study design, study cleansing instructions, study risks/benefits, and IRB consent. Photographed study participants using VISIA-CR Camera System, accompanied dermatologists during facial assessments of study subjects, and collected data assessing skin tone (chromameteter), transepidermal water loss (corneometer), and hydration (tewameter).

- Conducted patterns of care research in medical oncology for management of toxicities associated with anticancer therapies; management of lung cancer in the adjuvant and metastatic settings; management of breast cancer in the adjuvant and metastatic settings; and management of multiple myeloma.
- Studies elucidated differential patterns of care and practice gaps in oncology practice among oncology fellows, general surgeons, clinical investigator surgeons, community oncologists, clinical investigator oncologists.
- Assisted in all aspects of pattern of care studies, including study creation, data collection, data analysis, and content validation.

- Studied and elucidated differential regulation of steroid receptors in breast cancer by the Rho GEF Vav3 using breast cancer cell lines.
- Discovered Vav3 (a Rho GEF)/Rho GTPase-mediated potentiation of estrogen receptor transcriptional activity in breast cancer.
- Discovered Vav3/Rho GTPases repressed ligand-mediated androgen receptor activity and that Vav3 compromised ligand-mediated androgen receptor protein stabilization.
- Performed cell culture, transfection, luciferase assays, western blots, PCR, and RT-PCR.
